What is your boat? It is your comfort zone; it is the place where you find your security. Many times, it’s the place that prevents you from following your dreams. It’s what keeps you from pursuing the thing(s) that God called you to do. What is holding you back? Fear? The thought of, “but what if it doesn’t work”? BUT WHAT IF IT DOES WORK? Boats were never designed for you to set up residence. They serve as training wheels until you recognize that you don’t need a boat to walk on water. We are all called to live outside of our comfort zone. Peter recognized this in Matthew 14:22-33. In the middle of a storm, the disciples saw Jesus walking on the water and instead of staying in what was “comfort”, he stepped out of the boat and walked towards Jesus. Life happens outside of your comfort zone. If you never step outside of your boat, you’ll never know that you can walk on water. Live outside of your boat.
